Women’s Rights

Women’s rights refer to the social, legal, and economic entitlements and freedoms to which women are inherently entitled. This encompasses a range of issues such as equality in education, employment, health care, and political participation, as well as the rights to personal safety, reproductive health, and freedom from discrimination and violence. The movement for women’s rights seeks to ensure that women and girls are afforded the same opportunities and protections as men and boys, thereby promoting gender equality. Women’s rights movements have historically aimed to address systemic inequalities and advocate for legislative and societal changes that empower women, allowing them to fully participate in all aspects of society. This concept is rooted in the belief that both women and men should have equal rights and opportunities throughout their lives.
