Basketbal

Basketbal is a team sport in which two teams, typically consisting of five players each, compete to score points by shooting a ball through the opposing team’s hoop. The game is played on a rectangular court with a hoop raised 10 feet above the ground at each end. Players score by either shooting from within the three-point line for two points or from beyond the three-point line for three points. Additionally, players can score through free throws awarded after certain fouls. The game focuses on skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, and defense, requiring both individual talent and teamwork. The objective is to accumulate more points than the opponent by the end of the game, which is usually divided into four quarters. Basketball is widely popular around the world, both at the professional and amateur levels, and is governed by various rules and regulations established by organizations such as FIBA (International Basketball Federation) and the NBA (National Basketball Association). The sport emphasizes athleticism, strategy, and coordination among players, making it a dynamic and engaging activity for players and spectators alike.
